Well this didn't last long

I wanted to change my layout and got too frustrated with all the stupid freaking weird code - widgets? Dammit just give me normal HTML.

So, I've gone back to my home. Come visit me at diaryland!

People are fucking weird, man

Like I said, fucking weird.

Here's a teaser:

We began, as my husband promised, last Saturday evening. That first maintenance session was terrible for me... more like a punishment spanking than maintenance. He used a wooden spoon and had me bend across his knee in that "original" OTK position that Noone describes on the CDD blog and proceeded to spank the daylights out of my bottom. I, of course, was a mess even before it began, knowing it was going to be more severe than usual, so I was shaking all over and pretty much trying to convince him we should wait until another night. Before it was all over, I was bawling like a baby.

Sherrybaby

You know what sucks? I recently got Sherrybaby from Netflix and watched pretty much the whole movie. Got to the last oh, probably 10 minutes or so, and it starts skipping. I've wiped and wiped and wiped the stupid thing and it won't work. Very rarely do I have trouble with movies from Netflix and it just so happens that it does it to me on this one. Figures, because I want to know what happened, but at teh same time, I didn't like it enough to get it again.

So I spent time setting things upstairs to try it on the computer - the old computer. Our new one doesn't have a dvd player, but two of our old ones do. Actually, three old ones do. So I have three more to try it on and hopefully I'll get it working on one of them.

While I was at it, I tried to set up my wireless router so I could access the internet from the other computer. For some reason I can't update this computer to allow Netflix to let me watch stuff on the computer. I figured I'd try on one of the other computers. But, I couldn't get it to work. I have no idea where the cd rom is for the blasted thing - it's already installed on the computer so it should work! Hell, I hook up the router and the internet doesn't work on this computer.

Ah, well. I suppose if I really wanted to I could move the dsl modem when I want to watch something. I just might. Though, it'd be nice to have a second computer online that way the boys could play games online at the same time. Maybe I'll find the cd rom and try again.

Also today I tried to set up a new clothes line only to find that a) it was too short (so good thing I bought two - so I tied them together) and b) it broke anyway. And I was only hanging up my diapers, so it wasn't like it was a very heavy load.

I really.. really despise the pulley system for clothes line. I'd much.. much rather have a set of freaking poles. If we buy this house, that's one of the things I want done. Man, the list of things I would want done to this house is freaking long. But being near the river is nice. And I actually have a friend next door.

I know, me, a friend!? Who knew!

About Me & Mine

Me - Mir. I'm 26 years old (27 in February, getting close to the big 3 0 eek) and married for eight years now. I have three children, all boys. I am planning on training to become a doula later this year, we'll see if I actually can though.

I am very opinionated about certain subjects, hence the "fanatical" in my username. :p The subjects I'm pretty fanatical about are: circumcision (anti), CIO (anti), breastfeeding (pro), and that's all I can think of at the moment, though I'm sure I'll think of something else in the future.

I love to read (favorites include anything by Nora Roberts and her pen name JD Robb, Harry Potter (of course!) and true crime novels. I'm working on broadening my horizons though in the reading area.

I love to watch television. I already know I watch too much, so whatever. Thanks to DVR though, I can do it on my time and when it doesn't interfere with my time with the family. I love How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy, LOST, NCIS, CSI, Supernatural, Jericho, Criminal Minds, The Amazing Race, Medium, Hell's Kitchen, & Bones.

I'm looking forward to: The Big Bang Theory & Power of 10 (seems there isn't much coming out this year. Hm. Well, I didn't even bother looking at ABC or CW because those bastards wouldn't approve my waiver for cable. So it's DVD or internet for those shows. *cry*)

I also like to dabble in HTML, though I'm a bit rusty. It's been awhile since I coded anything so I haven't (as of yet) done anything to the layout of this. We'll see if I can do something to it.

My favorite past time is just cuddled on the couch with my hubby after the kids are in bed reading a book or watching a movie.

D - my husband, 27. He's in the Army, though currently hoping to get out. It changes all the time though, we have major separation anxiety when it comes to this. On one hand we're tired of the deployments and other separations, we're tired of moving, we want to buy a house and settle down. But on the other hand we're scared we won't be able to make it outside of the Army, financially. We'll see what happens though.

Dennis likes to read (science fiction and classics) and he likes watching a little bit of tv. And, of course, rough housing with the boys.

R - my oldest son was born September 23, 1999. He completed first grade this year and will be in the second grade this coming fall. He loves to learn about animals - his favorite channel is the Animal Planet. He also likes to read - he's currently reading Junie B books. He loves sports - this year he played lacrosse and he plans to play again next year. This fall he'll be playing soccer and he's super excited about that.

K - my second son was born November 11, 2002. He completed the Kid Start program this year and is currently in the "Summer Get Ahead" program through his school. He will be starting Kindergarten (which is full day here) this fall. K will be playing soccer with his big brother this year and he can't wait for that. K loves to run - he's starting to like story time. We've been reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and he loves it (R reads with us).

S - my third son was born August 4, 2006. At nearly a year old he is walking, saying "mamamama" and responds to his name. He loves to play with toy cars and loves to be tickled. He loves to play with his brothers and with me or his daddy. He has started to spin around in circles and thinks it's the funniest thing in the world. Ah, the innocence of the infant. Toddlerhood is just around the corner though and that's when the real fun begins. :p

We all live in Northern New York, somewhere near Fort Drum (but not too) with our family dog.

The First

So this is the first post. Over the years I've had other blogs - livejournal, diaryland, myspace - even my own domain. Here I am starting yet a new one. I'm sure at some point I'll become bored and stop writing for awhile again though. Typical of me.

Today was a so-so day. My oldest, R, had his "Adventures in Learning" today. They had a special "Meet the Zoo Friends" thing, but he was disappointed. I don't know what he was expecting really, but he wishes he had gone to swimming lessons instead. Normally he goes to Adventures in Learning about 30 minutes late, but since todays was a special and not at the normal place, he had to choose. Poor guy.

After that, we had to drive from Canton to Ogdensburg to go to Wal-Mart and Price Choppers. At Wal-Mart we had to buy soccer stuff (shin guards and a ball), clothes lines (because my last one broke and I had a hard time finding a new one, I picked up two), laundry detergent, blah blah blah blah.. oh and I bought soda there because it's like $2 cheaper than the grocery store.

The village is so small the local Wal-Mart isn't a supermarket! They have a small grocery section, but it doesn't carry much and I usually don't get anything there. I normally do my grocery shopping at Price Choppers - they're pretty good with deals. I like shopping there. I especially like the .90/gallon I'll save on my next tank of gas. Just have to find the gas station that has the deal with my grocery store.

It sucks that Price Choppers and Wal-Mart aren't in Canton though. Because Canton is where everything else is, since the boys go to school there. Oh well, what can you do?

My middle son, K, had summer pre-k. He seems to really enjoy it. He had a rough evening. I'm trying to just shower him with extra positive attention as we've been having issues. Sometimes I don't know what to do with him. He gets angry and says he "..wants to behave!" but he goes on doing the wrong things. He's 4, 5 in November, so it's not like he's a baby. But, he doesn't seem the same (maturity wise) as R did at his age.

My baby, S, is just the light. He makes me smile even when I feel like sitting down and crying. And seeing K & R with him makes the world seem perfect. Really, when they're all getting along, I want one more. When they're not... all I can think is wtf was I thinking having any? LOL

So that was my day. Suppose I'll do an "about us" post next.
